Who needs Saudi QVP?
Since the December 2024 expansion, QVP applies to almost every profession entering Saudi Arabia on a work visa: engineers, doctors, nurses, accountants, IT specialists, academics and corporate staff. Technical trades follow SVP instead of QVP.

Do I still need attestation for my certificates?
QVP does not replace the attestation of your original certificates. Candidates applying from India are generally still expected to have their educational documents legalised through the normal attestation route before the visa process is completed. - Register on the portal and process the application. QVP is applied for through the official QVP portal. Select the correct profession and fill in the university and course details accurately.
- Submit and confirm. Upload the documents and confirm the submission.
- Track the status. Check the application regularly for updates or requests from the verification team.
- Receive the QVP certificate. Once verified, you get your result and can continue with your visa process.
QVP processing time
Around 15 working days, and up to 21 working days if the university takes longer to respond. Timelines are set by the authorities and can change, so check the official portal for the latest details.
Can I apply for QVP from India?
Yes. Candidates in India can apply for QVP while still in India. The application is filed with your own passport and qualification details, and your Saudi employer uses the QVP result on their side to continue the visa process. Many candidates take support from a consultant so the application is filled correctly the first time.
